Orthopedic Simulator for Training in Wrist and Hand Osteosynthesis (Radius and Thumb Fractures)
The anatomical model of the left human wrist with fractures by Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and professionals in orthopedics and traumatology who work with plates and screws, Kirschner wires, external fixators, and anchors (for training and demonstration purposes).
Ideal for hands-on training, workshops, courses, in-office demonstrations, and distance learning, this simulator allows for the practice of fracture reduction and fixation with a high degree of realism.
With mechanical properties similar to those of human bone, the model consists of a solid radius (code 3021), ulna (code 3020), and hand (code 1001), connected by elastic filaments. It features educational fractures for advanced training: a transverse fracture in the diaphysis of the first metacarpal, an articular fracture at the base of the thumb, and a longitudinal fracture in the radius. It allows for cutting, drilling, and repetition of the procedure using real surgical instruments, accelerating the learning curve.
Compatible with the Nacional Ossos line of clamps, allowing for positioning and movement along different axes so that the student can work with both hands free, just as in an operating room setting.
