Orthopedic Simulator for Training in Lumbosacral Spine Surgery
The anatomical model of the lumbosacral spine with muscles by Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of professors, students, and professionals in orthopedics/traumatology and spine surgery who work in lumbosacral instrumentation, stabilization, and arthrodesis.
Articulated and highly educational, this version includes simulations of anterior and posterior ligaments, bilateral multifidus muscles, erector spinae muscles, and flexible intervertebral discs, providing a training scenario that closely mimics reality for surgical planning and hands-on practice. Ideal for workshops, practical courses, distance learning, and demonstrations, it allows for the safe repetition of techniques using real surgical instruments.
With strength and mechanical behavior similar to human bone, the model allows for drilling, instrumentation, and assembly of systems for training with pedicle screws, plates, rods, cages, and intervertebral spacers, in both open and minimally invasive (MIS) approaches.
It can be mounted on the Nacional Ossos line of vise systems (allowing movement along all axes for firm and safe bimanual work) and can also be used in a cradle for improved ergonomics. After training, it can be displayed on a demonstration stand, perfect for classrooms, medical offices, and trade shows.
