Orthopedic simulator for training in osteosynthesis, arthroplasty, and intramedullary nailing
The anatomical model of the left tibia and fibula by Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and professionals in orthopedic trauma who work with knee prostheses, plates and screws, external fixators, anchors, and intramedullary nails. Ideal for hands-on training, workshops, courses, in-office demonstrations, and distance learning, this simulator allows for highly realistic procedures thanks to its structure featuring cortical bone, cancellous bone, and a medullary canal, with mechanical properties very similar to those of human bone.
With detailed anatomy and sufficient durability for repetitive use, the model allows for surgical cuts, drill holes, implant placement, and assembly using real surgical instruments. It can be secured to a vice, providing stability and freedom of movement across multiple axes—both hands can work just as they would on a patient.
