Description
Lower limb extension immobilizer OKD-03 is manufactured from Active3D™ thermoformed fabric designed for knee stabilization after dislocation, sprain, ligament injury or orthopedic surgery.

The brace is equipped with:

• Open, soft sleeve allowing adjustment to a range of thigh and calf circumferences.
• VELCRO fastening system to secure the device to the limb and provide effective stabilization.
• Anatomically profiled aluminium splints with independent fixing system to the sleeve for customizable reinforcement.
• Kneecap protection with adjustable fastener for proper positioning.

Construction enables individual, precise fitting to the patient’s limb and ensures reliable stabilization during recovery.

Materials / Technology
Active3D™
Active3D™ is a thermoformed, closed-cell foam fabric. It reduces pressure and abrasion from orthopaedic stays and aluminium splints. The material is waterproof, non-absorbent, easy to clean and features external self-gripping layers; it can be thermoformed for final brace shaping.

Stiffenings

• Flat aluminium stays — made of a special aluminium alloy to provide stiffness with minimal weight; rounded ends to prevent tissue damage. Width and thickness determine stabilization level; these stays are not pre-shaped and require individual bending for final fit.
• Profiled aluminium stays — pre-profiled splints that should be precisely contoured to the patient's anatomy by a clinician or technician to ensure correct protection and support.

Paddings
3D supports — removable relief pads made of supporting foam or EVA combined with skin-friendly materials; anatomically shaped to separate rigid elements (splints, stays) from direct skin contact.
