Product overview
FIX-KD-15 is a professional paediatric knee orthosis intended to support, stabilize and, when required, immobilize the knee joint. The sleeve is made from AeroSpace II™, a distance-elastic 3D knitted fabric combining polyester for strength and spandex for elasticity. The external self-gripping layer ensures secure fit and easy adjustment while the openwork structure promotes air flow and sweat drainage. The design reduces muscle vibrations and improves comfort for prolonged wear.

Design and adjustability
The brace contours the lower limb and accommodates swelling. Self-gripping fabric and open construction facilitate fitting on injured knees. Low-profile, lightweight hinges with aluminium splints provide controlled range-of-motion; splints can be locked for immobilization. Padded hinge covers reduce pressure on bony prominences such as the femoral condyles.

1R Orthodesign hinge features
The 1R Orthodesign system offers adjustable-angle settings in 15° increments with a compact clock diameter under 30 mm. Adjustment uses removable steel rivets (extracted with the supplied magnet) rather than Allen screws. A ratchet locking ring prevents unintended readjustment. The hinge assembly includes a shin offset and an oval underside element for attaching 3D soft side cushions. Splints can be fine-tuned to limb shape by slight bending using the recommended bending tool.
