The OKD-40 professional knee brace provides stabilisation and controlled rehabilitation of the knee joint, with particular emphasis on patellofemoral stability. The brace features a closed design fully encompassing the knee joint, thigh and lower leg to increase lateral and anterior-posterior stability, prevent shifting during movement and ensure even compression.

Key features and functional description
The OKD-40 hinged knee brace includes an anatomical patellar donut to stabilise the patella, maintain correct tracking and reduce patellofemoral overload. Durable lateral splints with dual-axis (polycentric) hinges ensure anatomical axial alignment and protect against uncontrolled joint displacement. Dual-axis hinges replicate the natural biomechanics of the knee where rolling and gliding occur simultaneously during flexion and extension. Hinges integrate the patented EASY FIT SOLUTION system, developed to enhance fit of orthopaedic braces to anatomical contours and individual therapeutic needs.

Materials and comfort
Manufactured from breathable, skin-friendly materials that allow effective moisture management and prevent overheating for all-day comfort. The product uses the AeroSpace TM raw material: a distance elastic 3D knitted fabric formed of two facings and an interlacing that creates appropriate thickness and relieving properties. AeroSpace is made of high-quality polyester yarn for mechanical strength and spandex for flexibility; it is low weight, highly flexible, highly openwork for sweat drainage and fresh air, neutral to the secured joint, and reduces muscle vibrations.

Technologies and stiffenings
Splints [2W] polycentric, dual-axis hinges equipped with a rack-and-pinion mechanism to closely replicate anatomical knee joint movement. Hinges are made of high-quality aluminum alloy: lightweight, resistant to perspiration and salt, and sufficiently rigid for device performance. EASY FIT SOLUTION uses universal inserts to attach clips with elastic elements, enabling angular movement, circumferential guidance of straps and precise adjustment to user body curves.
