The OSS-OS-07 foot drop brace is a functional orthosis designed to assist dorsiflexion during walking. It provides dynamic assistance without rigid immobilisation and is intended for adults with weakness of the dorsiflexor muscles, regardless of cause.

The brace is made from soft, skin-friendly UniPren™ material, offering flexibility, light weight and all-day comfort. Its design allows one-hand application, suitable for users with unilateral weakness. The product operates dynamically via cross straps that lift the forefoot and a main stabilizing strap that supports the ankle while preserving natural mobility. An additional strap around the big toe helps lift the toes and maintain forefoot alignment. Open-heel design enhances proprioceptive feedback and reduces shifting inside footwear. The brace is discreet inside everyday shoes and does not impose rigid immobilisation.

Materials

• UniPren™ — 3-layer material: external elastic polyamide cover knit with self-adhesive function, internal neoprene foam core, elastic jersey cover knit. Soft, highly flexible, does not imprint on skin; self-adhesive properties facilitate application.

Mechanism of action
The OSS-OS-07 uses a dynamic assistance system: cross straps lift the forefoot during the swing phase to prevent toe drag. The main stabilizing strap supports the ankle while preserving mobility. The toe-encircling strap helps maintain forefoot alignment, improving gait biomechanics and the push-off phase.
