Overview
AM-SB-01 brace is an orthopedic hip support designed for use after hip replacement. The side splint protects the joint against undesirable motions such as excessive adduction, flexion or rotation and is equipped with range of motion (ROM) adjustment useful after hip surgeries. The brace limits the risk of endoprosthesis damage and is intended as an element of the rehabilitation process.

Product's description
The hip brace is made of innovative fabric ActivePren™ and uses ActiveDistance™ fastening. It has a wrap-around design for perfect fitting. The hip and thigh belt provides a wide range of circumference adjustment so the brace can be adapted to different body types. The brace is equipped with a lateral splint with ROM adjustment in every 15 degrees. The splint is made of sanded aluminium with a durable cover making it resistant to sweat and salts. The splint is placed inside a lateral pocket allowing removal of the splint for washing the brace. Additionally, the product has anti-slip silicone to prevent movement during use. The brace is right- and left-specific.

Materials & technology

• ActiveDistance™: technical off-loading lamination with 3-layer construction (EVA foam laminated with non-elastic polyamide). Self-gripping, non-elastic, waterproof, soft comfort foam for good fit and wide adjustment.
• ActivePren™: active three-layer material with two elastic jersey cover fabrics and a neoprene foam core. Soft, highly flexible, non-knitted (no thick fibers), minimizing skin imprint and abrasions; strong and effective stabilising orthoses material.
• Splint: 1R Orthodesign magnetic joint – hinge with flexion/extension adjustment every 15 degrees; adjustment via removable steel pins (magnet used to remove pins); locking ring with ratchet prevents spontaneous angle changes.
• Plastic stays (where used): water and sweat resistant, directional stiffness and memory function.
