Description

Short description
FIX-KD-38 – paediatric knee brace with range of motion adjustment.

Impaired lower limb control
Impaired lower limb control, gait disturbances and knee joint instability are commonly caused by neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy (CP), spina bifida, central nervous system injuries, and paresis or paralysis. A knee orthosis with adjustable range of motion like FIX-KD-38 helps prevent deformities, enables safe weight-bearing and supports gait re-education.

Purpose of use
  • cerebral palsy (CP)
  • central nervous system injuries
  • spina bifida
  • flaccid and spastic paralysis
  • knee ligament injuries (ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL)
  • knee joint instability
  • post-traumatic limitations of range of motion
  • other neurological conditions requiring additional lower limb stabilization

Product description
The FIX-KD-38 knee brace is an orthopaedic solution designed for paediatric patients. It provides controlled stabilization of the knee joint while allowing adjustable limitation of flexion and extension according to therapeutic needs.

The brace is equipped with a lightweight ROM hinge enabling flexion and extension adjustment in 15° increments, with an option to lock the joint. This feature supports maintenance of soft tissue flexibility and helps prevent structural deformities of the knee joint.

The FIX-KD-38 has an anatomical design adapted to paediatric dimensions. It is lightweight and ergonomic, minimises movement restriction and ensures comfortable application and prolonged wear. Aluminium side splints combined with ergonomic straps maintain knee alignment and reduce unintended displacement. Materials are skin-friendly and breathable to minimise irritation and allow adequate air circulation during extended use.

The FIX-KD-38 paediatric knee brace is a medical device intended for stabilization, control and limitation of knee joint range of motion in children and adolescents. It effectively prevents hyperextension, stabilizes the limb during verticalization and supports gait re-education. The product is suitable for conservative treatment as well as post-traumatic or post-surgical rehabilitation.
