Description
The AS-PU-02 is an anatomic-shaped calf sleeve designed to support and compress the calf for a minimum of 4 weeks after injury. It integrates a silicone pressure relief zone to protect highly sensitive injury sites while providing stabilising compression. Y-shaped, adjustable elastic straps (AirRubber II™) enable targeted compression without covering the injured area.
Clinical background
Calf pain often originates from overload or overstretching of the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles, which converge at the Achilles tendon. Activities such as tennis or squash can provoke tears (commonly referred to as "tennis leg"), producing acute pain, hematoma and reduced range of motion. Controlled compression and support help reduce pain, limit swelling and support tissue regeneration while allowing continued activity.
