Description
The AM-OSS-10 ankle orthosis provides active dorsiflexion assistance for management of foot drop, correction of inversion and support of extensor muscle function after neurological impairment. Constructed from AeroSpace™ with AirRubber III™ elastic braids and ActiveSpace™ lamination, the orthosis combines targeted support and breathable materials. The product includes side stiffeners and rear plastic stays for shape retention and lateral stabilization.

Purpose of use

• Limited dorsiflexion (foot drop)
• Extensor muscle weakness and spasticity due to stroke, multiple sclerosis, common peroneal nerve dysfunction or other nervous system disorders

Technology / Materials
ActiveSpace™
3D spacer lamination in polyamide providing high skin ventilation and limited elasticity for improved stabilization. Two-layer construction with polyamide braids allows free air flow and low moisture absorption. Waterproof.

AeroSpace™
Distance-elastic 3D knitted fabric of polyester and spandex offering low weight, high flexibility and openwork structure for sweat drainage and air circulation. Ensures compression and fit while reducing muscle vibration.

AirRubber III™
Unidirectional elastic rubber braids that stretch in length to enhance compression without widening. Allow air circulation between braids and provide a gentle massage effect under compression.

Stiffenings
ABS orthopedic stays and rear plastic stays in various widths and thicknesses to prevent fabric wrinkling and uncontrolled movement. Plastic stays stabilize laterally protected areas, are water- and sweat-resistant, and can be washed in place. Thin ABS stays maintain shape with minimal added rigidity.
