Functional off-loading knee orthosis OA PRIME is a Class I medical device designed to correct knee alignment and reduce pain in degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis. It provides stabilization in sagittal, frontal and transverse planes and helps improve gait by decreasing load on the affected compartment of the knee.

Product description
The OA PRIME features a lightweight, low-profile aluminum frame covered with skin-friendly thermoformed Active3D fabric. Two cooperating medial and lateral hinges act during extension to increase joint space medially and shift the joint alignment laterally, producing controlled external rotation of the foot and reducing joint pressure. The orthosis includes anatomically shaped 3D relief pads for individualized fit and silicone-covered straps to prevent slipping. Available in right and left versions.

Materials / Technology
Active3D thermoformed fabric is a foamed, closed-cell material that reduces pressure and abrasion from rigid elements, is waterproof, does not absorb sweat and is easy to clean. 3D relief supports are anatomically shaped foam/EVA pads that off-load metal elements and increase patient comfort.
