FOOT-TOP (OSS-OS-02) is a lightweight active ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) with a semi-rigid ABS insole, designed to assist patients with foot drop and improve gait dynamics. The device is discreet under clothing and uses active straps to correct foot positioning.

Key features and materials
AeroSpace™ fabric: distance elastic 3D knitted fabric, very low weight, high flexibility, large openwork structure allowing sweat drainage and air flow; provides proper compression and fit and reduces muscle vibrations.
ActiveSpace™: spacer polyamide 3D lamination with high skin ventilation; non-elastic for improved stabilization; waterproof and lightweight.
AirRubber III™: unidirectional elastic rubber braids that stretch lengthwise (not width), improving compression and providing gentle skin massage; breathable between braids.
ABS sole insole: semi-rigid orthosis insert made of ABS available in many sizes and left/right versions; lifts the foot over entire sole surface. Profiled back shell made of polyethylene stiffens the orthosis rear part to prevent collar slippage.

Description
Foot drop is a neurological condition causing inability to dorsiflex the forefoot. Causes include peroneal nerve injury, spinal or cerebral disorders, and muscular diseases. FOOT-TOP (OSS-OS-02) incorporates a shaped ABS insert that lifts the forefoot. The orthosis combines lightweight, elastic materials and structural elements to restore a more physiological gait pattern and limit compensatory mechanisms. Active straps correct inversion, aid calf muscle pump action to increase circulation, and facilitate activation of iliopsoas and gluteal muscles during walking.
