OverviewProduct’s descriptionSingle upright brace SPEEDERO reduces painful syndromes associated with knee osteoarthritis. SPEEDERO is a realigning brace for patients with knee osteoarthritis that induces a valgus or varus torque on the knee to reduce contact stress in the involved medial or lateral knee joint compartment and relieve pain. The brace combines a soft sleeve with an aluminum frame and strap and provides 3 points of leverage to reduce pressure inside the knee joint. It is recommended for knee degeneration and MCL injuries connected with knee instability.
Structure and key elementsAluminum knee frame with 1RP hinge maintains knee alignment and offers smooth range of motion (ROM) adjustment. The construction is a comfortable, lightweight, low-profile single upright brace with hinge and strap, made using AeroSpace™ high-tech fabric and optionally ActiveSpace™ spacer lamination for increased ventilation and stabilization.
Materials / Technology- AeroSpace™: distance elastic 3D knitted fabric made of polyester yarn and spandex; low weight, high flexibility, openwork structure allowing sweat drainage and air flow; provides proper compression, fit and reduces muscle vibrations; relieves mounted orthopedic splints and guarantees velvety softness.
- ActiveSpace™: polyamide 3D spacer lamination consisting of two layers with polyamide braids between; lightweight, highly ventilated, non-elastic (improves stabilization), waterproof, minimal moisture absorption.
- Single axis splint 1RP: high-strength, waterproof splint designed for heavy use; arms made of hardened steel with powder coating; equipped with drop locks and threaded holes for precise ROM locking; includes hyperextension knee lock and preset flexion angles.
Single axis splint (1RP) detailsThe 1RP splint is designed for heavy conditions, provides strong lateral stabilization and precise mobility regulation. The device allows locking of joint flexion at 30°, 50°, 70° and extension settings including free joint and 20°. ROM adjustment is made with a supplied Allen key and hardened screws placed into threaded holes marked with specific angle values. Movable elements run on galvanized steel rivets with Teflon sliders for maintenance-free operation. The drop locks include an oval bottom to attach a soft anatomic 3D pad separating the lock from the knee.
