Overview
OKD-12 is a comfortable patellar tracking knee brace designed to prevent patella dislocation and subluxation. It provides effective stabilization and high user comfort through a combination of a soft lateral insert and elastic circular straps. The brace is universal (fits both legs) and can be rotated for use in lateral or medial dislocation cases.

Clinical context
Patellar dislocation / subluxation is common in sports, more frequent in women, and typically follows a direct blow or sudden twist of the leg. Clinical signs after dislocation include patellar hypermobility, hematoma, swelling, limited range of motion and muscle weakness.

Types of dislocation

• Traumatic – associated with pain, hematoma and restricted knee motion; stretching or rupture of soft tissues may occur, and dislocations can become recurrent.
• Habitual – repeated maltracking of the patella with each knee flexion/extension.

Product description
OKD-12 stabilizes the patella using an anatomic patella donut with a soft lateral insert and two elastic circular straps positioned above and below the knee to ensure correct tracking. The brace is made of ActivePren™ and ActiveSpace™ fabrics, which deliver strength, flexibility, ventilation and minimal skin imprinting. It is indicated for athletes (soccer, basketball, running) and physically active patients.

Purpose of use
OKD-12 is intended for treatment and management of patellofemoral joint disorders including:

• Lateral patellar dislocation (post-injury or congenital)
• Mild to moderate knee pain syndromes
• Patellar maltracking
