DescriptionRAPTOR BIONIC is a knee orthosis featuring a bionic spring-loaded hinge system that stores energy during knee flexion under load and returns it during extension to assist knee extensors. The device stabilizes the joint, reduces ligament stress and increases functional knee power for clinical and active use.
When should I use RAPTOR BIONIC?Designed for clinical, occupational and sports applications where enhanced knee protection, stabilization and energy assistance are required. Suitable for patients with chronic knee instability, degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis, post-operative rehabilitation and to improve mobility after neurological events.
4-Point System (how it works)The 4-point system is designed to reduce knee stress and protect the joint:
1 - first point on the front of the thigh (aluminium frame)
2 - second point on the back of the calf (load distribution to the lower limb via the frame)
3 - third point is the strap on the back of the thigh
4 - fourth point is the strap on the front of the calf, which applies preload to the tibia by pushing it posteriorly (this solution decreases ACL tension).
Construction and materialsThe orthosis features a high-strength frame made of lightweight aluminium 6061 T6 with powder coating for resistance to moisture, sweat and salt. Internal soft lining uses AirDistance II comfort foam covered with cotton and terry to minimize allergy risk. The knee sleeve uses Active3D fabric (thermoformed, closed-cell, waterproof, non-absorbing sweat, easy to clean) and the device is equipped with five straps and dedicated cushions to minimize migration.
Stiffening and technical elementsSplint 2: double-axis polycentric splints with rack-and-pinion mechanism to follow anatomic knee movement. Splints are produced from high-quality aluminium alloy with a durable sanded finish and silicone inserts to stabilize the splint and reduce stress on the knee joint.
Performance and use casesRAPTOR BIONIC stores and returns energy to boost quadriceps output, enhance shock absorption, support the meniscus, increase knee endurance in sport and reduce joint compression.
