Hernia
Hernia is a condition in which weakened areas of the abdominal wall allow internal organs to protrude, potentially causing complications such as intestinal strangulation and necrosis. Increased intra-abdominal pressure during coughing, straining or Valsalva maneuvers can precipitate an inguinal hernia.

Product description
The AM-2PP hernia belt provides external support and limitation of inguinal hernias when surgical repair can be deferred. Constructed from elastic, skin-friendly AirRubber III™ and fitted with anatomical inguinal pelottes, the device includes an adjustable inguinal strap to stabilize the belt on the body. Suitable for both women and men.

Purpose of use

• Limits existing unilateral or bilateral inguinal hernias
• Prevention of groin complications after surgery when abdominal wall tissues are weakened
• Chronic support for small bilateral inguinal hernias in patients not eligible for surgery

Contraindications
Not to be used for irreducible (incarcerated) hernias, as the inguinal pelotte may impair the intestinal wall; urgent surgical consultation is required in such cases.

Materials & Technology
AirRubber III™
Unidirectional elasticity (stretches lengthwise only) that enhances compression. Porous structure allows skin breathing; at higher compression the rubber braids provide a gentle massaging effect. Orthopedic rubber designed to be skin-friendly.

CottonComfort™
Comfortable, hypoallergenic orthopedic lining: polyurethane foam laminated with a soft cotton knit. The cotton knit is free from formaldehyde and certified by Oeko‑Tex® Standard 100. Lamination uses a thermal method without adhesives to avoid chemical additives while ensuring strong bonding. Used in contact areas to reduce skin irritation and to fill gaps between the orthosis and the body.

Paddings
Hernia pads are hemispherical silicone pads offered in several diameters with an anatomical shape, made of silicone with tailored hardness and elasticity to non-invasively fill the hernia opening.
